I offer a variety of group courses at the Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced and Proficiency levels, as well as highly-customized individual lessons. Each course is 10 weeks long. Students meet once a week for a 2-hour Zoom session.

Beginner

Objectives: You will be able to introduce yourself, and ask and answer questions about personal details. You will learn to talk about your family, home, and daily life using simple present tense sentences. You’ll get knowledge about everyday expressions and basic phrases that will help you in simple conversation.
The complete Beginner level consists of 2 separate courses, A1.1 and A1.2

Elementary

Objectives: You’ll become comfortable engaging in courtesy conversations and speaking in both present and past tenses. Key to this level is the ability to distinguish between regular and irregular verbs, and use the most important past tenses in Spanish together.
The complete Elementary level consists of 3 separate courses, A2.1, A2.2, and A2.3.

Intermediate

Objectives: You will learn to describe experiences and events, give opinions and advice in familiar settings: at work, and with friends and family. You will be able to discuss wishes and the future, and write simple texts on topics of personal interest. At its core you will start perfecting your Spanish grammar and add many new verbs and vocabulary, including an introduction to subjunctive.
The complete Intermediate level consists of 5 separate courses, B1.1 to B1.5

Advanced

Objectives: You will be able to talk and interact with a high degree of fluency and spontaneity. You’ll learn to read complex texts on a variety of topics. You will polish your Spanish writing skills, both in terms of sentence structure and vocabulary. The complete Advanced level consists of 5 separate courses, B2.1 to B2.5

Proficiency

Objectives: You’ll be able to understand complex and lengthy texts, even when the meaning is not explicitly stated. You’ll communicate fluently and spontaneously, demonstrating a rich vocabulary and a lack of hesitation across social, academic, and professional contexts. This is the highest level a non-native speaker can achieve so Let’s do a High Five!. The complete Proficiency level consists of 5 separate courses, C1 to C2.

Pricing & Payment

Interested in group lessons as well as private tutoring please contact me for a price list and an initial consultation.

Refunds & Cancellations

While I do my best to schedule course times and levels to accommodate everyone, I reserve the right to cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment. In this case, you will be notified by email and given the option to transfer to another class or to receive a full refund.
To request a refund you need to send a written request before the first day of class. If you miss a session, I offer one private make-up class per group course and three to one-on-one students.

Etiquette

You will require a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet/iPad to connect to class over Zoom. In addition to your computer, if you can bring a smartphone to class, for use in interactive exercises (we use the free iOs and Android study app Kahoot) you’ll be very pleased.

I advice students to study or do homework for a minimum of 2 hours a week but this is optional.

Dress appropriately for a classroom setting (e.g.: no pajamas, no Zooming from bed unless absolutely necessary). Please meet in a quiet space – you may not join class from a noisy/busy/distracting place such as car, subway, cafe.
